Job Description

Inland Private Capital Corporation (IPCC) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting and the close process for a diverse real estate investment portfolio, including complex, multi-entity structures.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned portfolios
  • Prepare GAAP financial statements, along with lender and investor reporting
  • Support investment-level audits, including audit schedules and responding to auditor requests
  • Review property-level financials for accuracy, compliance, and reasonableness
  • Analyze financial results and prepare variance analysis, investigating discrepancies
  • Maintain portfolio data and records within Yardi
  • Review and interpret general ledger activity to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Partner with internal teams (Finance, Asset Management, etc.) to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Assist in enhancing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Mentor and support the development of staff accountants
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  • 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate, investment, or private equity
  • Prior audit and/or tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
  • Experience supporting external audits
  • Familiarity with lender and investor reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, lookups, complex workbooks)
  • Experience with Yardi or similar accounting systems preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

CPA preferred but not required.

Annual Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus program.
