About the Role: Senior Accounting Manager

As our Senior Accounting Manager, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Your Impact - As the Senior Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in the financial success of our hotel by partnering with the Director of Finance to lead daily accounting operations. Your leadership and financial expertise will help ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and sound business decisions that support an exceptional guest experience. You will lead day-to-day operations, support team performance, and ensure service standards are consistently delivered. You’ll act as a bridge between leadership and frontline teams—driving accountability, engagement, and results.

What You’ll Be Doing -

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes and prepare financial reports
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Income Audit, and General Cashier functions
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, USALI, and company accounting policies
  • Assist in annual operating and capital budget preparation
  • Track departmental expenses and labor costs
  • Partner with department leaders to provide financial guidance and operational support
  • Coach, develop, and lead the accounting team while supporting audits and internal controls
  • Ensure smooth, efficient operations aligned with brand standards
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

Technical / Role-Specific Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Full-service hotel accounting experience
  • Union hotel experience
  • Experience with Opera PMS, Infor SunSystems, Sage, Birchstreet, or similar hotel systems

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
