Job Description

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent and/or Director, perform specialized technical, secretarial, and administrative support duties for an administrator of an organizational unit having multiple sub-functions, or a District-wide service with substantial administrative needs; coordinate and oversee administrative projects, workflow, and support activities for the office and related functions; maintain confidentiality of office operations.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Any combination equivalent to: a High School diploma supplemented by two (2) years college-level course work in business, secretarial science or related field and four (4) years of progressive administrative-level experience performing secretarial, clerical and general office management work for an administrator.

Licenses and Other Requirements:
- May require a valid California Driver's License.
- May require First-Aid/CPR Certification.

Knowledge of:
- Operation of office machines including computer equipment and specified software.
- Modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
- Alpha and numeric filing systems.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- Financial and statistical record-keeping techniques.
- Basic budgeting practices regarding monitoring and control.
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
- Telephone techniques and etiquette.
- Sections of applicable laws.
- Operations, procedures, specific rules and precedents of the office.
- Organization, functions, rules, procedures and programs of the department to which assigned.
- Basic objectives, organization and functioning of a school district and relationships to state law and other school organizations.

Salary Info
