Job Description

General Purpose:

The Senior Business Analyst, Commercial Excellence partners with Sales, Finance, and Operations leadership to drive revenue performance through data-driven insights and operational recommendations. This role analyzes business trends, forecasts performance, and identifies opportunities to improve sales processes and overall effectiveness across the revenue function. Working cross-functionally, this position evaluates pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and sales productivity, translating complex data into actionable insights. Assesses and enhances reporting frameworks, processes, and workflows to support better decision-making and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting & Analytics

  • Designs and enhances reporting frameworks and analytical models
  • Delivers core reporting on funnel performance, conversion, forecasting, and revenue analytics
  • Analyzes pipeline health, forecasting methods, and performance trends
  • Conducts ad hoc analysis and modeling (capacity, productivity, incentives, strategic initiatives)

Business Performance & Insights

  • Assesses performance across segments, regions, products, and sales motions
  • Identifies trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Provides recommendations to improve revenue outcomes and operational effectiveness
  • Exercises independent judgment to evaluate performance and influence strategy

Sales Planning & Optimization

  • Supports territory planning, account ownership, and coverage models
  • Optimizes sales capacity and market opportunity
  • Contributes to forecasting methodologies and resource allocation decisions

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Leads cross-functional initiatives to improve processes and scalability
  • Recommends and implements operational improvements
  • Enhances organizational performance and efficiency

Business Cadence & Stakeholder Management

  • Leads recurring business cadences (forecast reviews, pipeline inspections, executive updates)
  • Supports executive decision-making with insights and reporting

CRM & Data Governance

  • Establishes and maintains CRM governance practices
  • Improves data integrity, reporting reliability, and operational controls

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Analytics, Commercial Strategy, or a similar function.
  • Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to transform complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations that support business decision-making.
  • Familiarity with sales funnel management, forecasting practices, performance measurement, compensation structures, and revenue operations concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Approaches challenges with a commercial mindset while maintaining strong operational discipline.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and increase organizational efficiency.
  • Builds effective partnerships across departments and communicates confidently with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

Compensation

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $99,200 – $134,200
