Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (BA) with a strong coding background and Agile expertise to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation.  This role requires a mix of business analysis, software development knowledge, and Agile methodologies to ensure seamless collaboration between stakeholders, developers, and product teams.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in coding, system analysis, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

1. Business & Technical Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Work closely with developers, architects, and product managers to translate business needs into technical specifications.

• Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new initiatives.

• Create and refine wireframes, mockups, prototypes, workflow diagrams, and functional models to support solution design and stakeholder alignment.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners, and engineering teams to improve user experience and usability.

• Support business process modeling, workflow analysis, and operational improvement efforts. 

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements workshops, and solution discussions. 

• Define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows in Agile environments.

2. Coding & Technical Collaboration

• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to support solution design and technical implementation. 

• Work with APIs, databases, system integrations, and SaaS platforms to ensure alignment between business and technical requirements. 

• Assist with data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and system testing activities. 

• Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate outcomes, and support defect resolution. 

• Support release readiness, implementation planning, and production support activities as needed. 

• Maintain understanding of enterprise applications, digital platforms, and integration patterns.

• Work with APIs, databases, and system integrations to ensure technical feasibility.

• Collaborate on test cases, debugging, and data validation when needed.

3. Agile & Project Management

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure smooth Agile delivery.

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

• Assist in prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and technical complexity.

• Support QA testing efforts by defining test cases, verifying results, and ensuring quality.

4. Process Improvement & Documentation

• Create and maintain business requirements documents, process flows, technical documentation, and user guides. 

• Create and maintain technical documentation, process workflows, and user guides.

• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or system enhancements.

• Ensure data-driven decision-making by analyzing trends, system usage, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Analyst, Software Developer, or similar hybrid role.

• Experience with requirements gathering BRD, FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process modeling.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

• Experience or Familiarity in creating Prototypes or Wireframes using tools like Figma, Miro or Sketch 

• Coding background in Python, JavaScript, SQL, Angular, node.js, C# or similar programming languages.

• Familiarity or experience with databases, APIs, and system integrations.

• Experience collaborating with SaaS application teams for integrating, enhancements and support.

• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and experience working in Agile teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Experience in health/dental care insurance is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.

• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Understanding of UX/UI principles, wireframing, and prototyping tools.

• Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-PBA, CBAP, or Agile BA.

Environment

This position functions as a hybrid role working from both home and in-office environments.  Any home office setting must be conducive to all guidelines outlined by the organization.  This role is required to attend in-person meetings, the frequency of which is determined by management based on departmental or organizational needs.
