We are currently seeking: Senior Construction Project Manager
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for management of all facets of the Project Management and Construction Projects as assigned. These responsibilities include implementation of all required preconstruction activities, vendor solicitation, material procurement, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, risk management, execution of the work and closeout.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- If required, oversee Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers (as applicable and as assigned) to ensure projects are completed on time, within estimated budget and per drawings and specifications.
- Coordinates with Director of Project Management to delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Senior Project Manager of Construction Projects as assigned. Serves at the main point of contact for the client.
- Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Serves as a mentor for Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and other team members on project management and Company best practices. Including submittals, RFI’s, material procurement, material deliveries, progress photos and documentation, safety, quality control, cost budgeting and forecasting, change management, dispute resolution and negotiations and project closeouts.
- Review monthly project updates with Assistant Project Managers and Project Manager’s in preparation for meeting with Director of Project Management to ensure all updates, cost projections and billing projections are updated completely and thoroughly.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors to ensure clients are satisfied with Tusco during the project management stage and to further develop Tusco relationship with vendors and subcontractors.
- Provides support and training to project managers in subcontract procurement and management.
- Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers with the preparation of contractual scope of work for Vendors and Subcontractors contracts.
- Assists with identifying, creating, and improving Department and Company processes and documentation procedures related to project management and related field operations as requested and/or discussed with Director of Project Management.
- Supports Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers in conducting risk assessments, reporting identified risks and problem solving of high-level issues on projects.
- Helps Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers identify manpower constraints and ensures issues are being effectively communicated to the Department Director and the Department Operations Manager.
- Assist Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers with determining best practices for execution of the work.
- Consults with Compliance Manager to ensure that the project management team is educated in and in compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Communicates and collaborates with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers and payroll staff to ensure accurate job cost tracking, compliance with certified payroll requirements, invoice review and approval and coding timekeeping records.
- Assists Director of Project Management in conducting cost analysis and ensuring costs are being accurately tracked and coded.
- Responsible for completing all Administrative and HR task related to the management of Assistant Project Managers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business preferred.
- Five to Ten years of related construction industry experience required.
- PMP, PSP or comparable project management certifications preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam
