Senior Design Manager
Location: Torrance, CA (on-site)
Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager
Pay: $90K - $115K / year
Position Summary
Inaba Foods (USA) Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead and oversee the company’s creative and design function across ecommerce, retail, digital marketing, trade marketing, and brand initiatives. This role is responsible for managing and mentoring a team of designers while maintaining a high standard of creative execution, visual storytelling, and brand consistency across all consumer-facing channels.
This position will partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, Product Development, and Leadership teams to support product launches, retailer initiatives, digital campaigns, and evolving brand strategies in a fast-paced consumer products environment.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Torrance, CA, as required by company leadership.

- Maintain a high standard of visual quality, consistency, and brand storytelling across all creative touchpoints.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of designers while fostering a collaborative and high-performing creative environment.
- Provide creative direction and strategic oversight across ecommerce, digital marketing, retail, packaging support, trade marketing, and corporate initiatives.
- Review and approve creative deliverables to ensure visual consistency, production accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Manage creative workflow, project prioritization, timelines, and resource allocation across the design team.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, and Leadership teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Oversee the development of visual assets for retailer platforms, ecommerce product pages, social media, email marketing, websites, trade shows, and in-store merchandising.
- Support product launches and integrated marketing campaigns through concept development and creative execution.
- Develop scalable creative systems, templates, and processes to improve operational efficiency and brand consistency.
- Partner with external vendors, agencies, photographers, printers, and production partners as needed.
- Monitor design, ecommerce, retail, and consumer trends to proactively introduce innovative creative approaches.
- Leverage AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies to improve workflow efficiency and creative output.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organization, and project management skills within a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field is required
- 7-10 years of experience in graphic design, brand design, creative marketing, or related creative roles.
- 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring creative teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand development, typography, layout, visual storytelling, and multi-channel campaign execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Experience supporting ecommerce, retail, and consumer product marketing initiatives preferred.
- Strong understanding of print production, digital content development, and production workflows.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with motion graphics, photography direction, video editing, or AI-powered creative tools is a plus.
