Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Director to lead and strengthen our relationships with mid-tier digital media agencies. This role sits at the intersection of branding, performance marketing, and ad tech, and requires a strategic leader who can drive revenue through deep agency partnerships, innovative solutions, and strong digital market understanding.

JioStar's Entertainment Ads Agency Partnerships team connects India's largest media agencies / marketers to hundreds of millions of consumers across the country's most-watched premium entertainment streaming properties. We sit at the intersection of content, culture, and commerce — responsible for building the revenue engine that turns audience scale into measurable business outcomes for brands and agencies alike. Our mandate spans the full agency ecosystem: from national trading conversations to bespoke content-led brand integrations. Key Responsibilities

Agency Relationship Management

  • Own and manage relationships with predominantly mid-tier agencies and one large global agency network.

  • Build and maintain strong connections with senior stakeholders, central trading teams, and key decision-makers

  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions and partnership growth

Revenue & Deal Structuring

  • Lead negotiations and closure of annual incentive deals and trading agreements

  • Drive revenue growth through both branding and performance-led solutions

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across agency portfolios

Strategic Advisory

  • Provide consultative support to agencies on digital strategy, media planning, and campaign optimization

  • Position the organization as a preferred partner through thought leadership and insights

Product & Content Evangelization

  • Educate agencies on content offerings, ad formats, and platform capabilities

  • Drive adoption of new ad properties, innovations, and emerging solutions in the ad tech ecosystem

Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving agency dynamics

  • Bring actionable insights to internal teams to refine go-to-market strategies

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, product, marketing, and ad operations teams to deliver integrated solutions

  • Ensure seamless execution of campaigns and partnerships

Skills & Attributes for Success

  • Deep understanding of the agency ecosystem, including how national trading, investment, and planning decisions are structured and influenced at the group level.

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and close complex, multi-crore commercial deals, including volume partnerships, strategic integrations, and bespoke commercial constructs, beyond relationship management.

  • Strong command over audience narratives, media measurement, attribution frameworks, and data-led selling, with the ability to translate analytics into compelling commercial opportunities.

  • Concise, compelling, and confident communicator, capable of presenting complex propositions effectively across large-format industry forums as well as senior stakeholder discussions.

  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing commercial teams, while operating effectively with senior agency and client leadership.

  • High comfort navigating ambiguity, organizational complexity, and fast-evolving market dynamics, with a proactive approach towards risk management, stakeholder alignment, and pipeline governance.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • 15–18 years of experience in digital media, ad tech, or agency-facing roles

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Branding and performance marketing ecosystems

  • Digital media planning and buying

  • Ad tech platforms and programmatic landscape

  • Proven track record of managing and growing agency relationships

  • Experience in negotiating large-scale deals and partnerships

  • Strong network within mid-tier agency ecosystem

  • Experience working with Top publishers In digital sector across Branding & Performance domain
