We are seeking a Senior Director, Finance Operations to join our team in Overland Park, KS. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide transactional finance operations, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Cash Management. The successful candidate will drive process transformation, automation, governance, and service excellence while leading a high-performing shared services organization.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and develop a high-performing, geographically matrixed organization, which includes in-office, plant/mine locations and remote teams.
- Define and execute shared services strategy and operating model, prioritizing scalability, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Drive transformation initiatives including process standardization, automation, and centralization.
Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Own end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and scalable processing.
- Direct invoice intake, 2- and 3-way matching, approval workflows, and payment execution across plants and systems.
- Optimize payment timing and methods to balance vendor relationships and working capital objectives.
- Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain to align processes, vendor terms, and contract compliance.
- Drive improvements in cycle times, exception rates, and straight-through processing through automation and standardization.
- Oversee vendor onboarding and master data integrity, ensuring strong controls and data accuracy.
- Lead Concur, P-card, and T&E programs, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, including 1099 reporting and audit requirements.
- Serve as escalation point for critical vendor issues and disputes.
Order-to-Cash (OTC)
- Own end-to-end OTC operations, including pricing, credit, accounts receivable, deductions, collections, and dispute resolution.
- Establish and manage customer credit risk frameworks and exposure, including limits, monitoring, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and billing integrity through robust validation processes and master data controls.
- Monitor AR performance (DSO, aging, disputes) and drive improvements in cash flow and receivable quality.
- Lead deductions and dispute management, ensuring timely resolution and root cause elimination.
- Partner with Commercial teams to align pricing execution and customer terms.
- Manage bad debt forecasting, reserves, and write-offs in compliance with accounting standards.
- Advance process improvements through automation, analytics, and standardization.
- Serve as escalation point for complex customer, pricing, and collections matters.
Cash Management & Reconciliation
- Oversee enterprise cash operations, including cash application, bank reconciliations, and cash visibility.
- Drive timely and accurate application of customer payments to improve cash flow transparency.
- Lead bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Strengthen control frameworks and expand automation across cash management activities.
Master Data Governance
- Create and implement governance frameworks for customer and vendor master data processes.
- Ensure data accuracy, standardization, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Customer & Vendor Service
- Lead centralized inquiry management and issue resolution processes.
- Maintain high service levels and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Drive enterprise-wide automation and continuous improvement initiatives across P2P and O2C functions.
- Maintain compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.
- Define and analyze KPIs to drive performance, efficiency, and service delivery outcomes.
- Leverage data and analytics to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Accounting to optimize processes and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 12–15 years of progressive experience in shared services, finance operations, or transactional accounting
- Proven experience leading large-scale process improvement, automation, and centralization initiatives
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
- Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JD Edwards and Coupa
- Experience leading finance operations in manufacturing, mining, or other complex industrial environments
