Job Summary:

The Senior Educator Advisor (Michigan) will lead the expansion and implementation of Tim Hortons Foundation Camps in-school programming in Tim Hortons markets in Michigan. This role is responsible for aligning the program with regional education systems and establishing partnerships with schools for program implementation during the 2026/2027 school year. We welcome applicants with leadership experience in education, including current and former school and district administrators. This is an excellent opportunity for senior administrators, superintendents, principals or vice-principals looking to apply their skills in a new setting. 

Work Location:

This role will work remotely from the Detroit, Michigan area. Most of this role will be completed remotely; however, it is expected that travel to offices in St. George, Ontario and Toronto, Ontario; and travel to school locations in Michigan will be required.

Posting Type:

This is a part-time contract position that is anticipated to work approximately 2 –3 days per week. The contract period is from September 2026 – June 2027.

What would you be doing?

  • Lead regional roll out and execution strategy for the THFC In-School program in Michigan including school outreach, program promotion, school scheduling and logistics.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with school partners (teachers, administrators, senior leadership etc.) to implement program during the 2026/2027 school year.
  • Once initial uptake is established and program is implemented in 2026/2027 school year, create state-specific growth plan.
  • Establish formal partnership agreements with school boards/districts in identified priority regions as required.
  • Ensure program delivery partners and sponsoring organizations are aligned with the Tims Camps youth engagement framework, charitable purpose mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop and create methodology to ensure program partners and program participants in Michigan markets meet the qualification/eligibility criteria for participation.
  • Create communication materials and provide regular reports regarding the US regional roll out to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications include:

  • Advanced University degree and/or college background in related field or, equivalent experience.
  • Good working knowledge of school districts across the state of Michigan. Good working knowledge of other targeted markets (ie: New York, Ohio) considered an asset.
  • Previous or current experience working in senior level roles in public education.
  • 10+ years’ experience in providing leadership and/or oversight to youth programming.
  • Ability to exercise and leverage strategic acumen in education contexts.
  • Strong judgement, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, and the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to conduct and/or coordinate research, craft backgrounders, briefs and reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems thinking, change management, and development.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills with strong time management, project management, and organizational skills across multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong digital literacy skills and a command of a variety of information and communication technologies.
  • Acceptable Criminal Record Search.
  • Ability to travel across the US and to Canada as required.
