About the Role

As Senior Manager, Merchandising Transformation you will be the driving force behind the strategic evolution of merchandising, planning and operations. You will lead, plan and execute transformative initiatives that shape the future of Kohl’s, ensuring our ability to thrive in a constantly changing and competitive market.

What You’ll Do

  • Set vision, develop roadmap, project manage and communicate Kohl’s merchandise strategy and technology transformation

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive transformation strategy that aligns with Kohl’s long-term vision and growth objectives

  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams and leaders through major change initiatives fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability

  • Prepare the organization to adopt new technology tools while soliciting user feedback to improve existing technology 

  • Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies across all aspects of merchandising, planning and operations

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, including leading bi-weekly transformation meetings with EVPs & SVPs

  • Foster strong collaboration between Leadership, Kohl’s Technology (KT) and Merchandising stakeholders to ensure successful execution of transformation initiatives

  • Support and execute the team vision, set clear objectives, assign and direct work, manage performance, and maintain open communications to create an effective work environment

  • KPIs include: Organizational readiness (as measured by new tool adoption and use), process evolution and efficiency (as measured through reduction in manual work and sales) and margin and turn improvement 

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • 7+ years of experience across Merchandising, Planning, Operations, Digital, Strategy or a similar experience

  • Firm understanding of end to end Merchant processes, tools and responsibilities

  • In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends and emerging technologies 

  • Action-oriented change advocate; ability to guide teams and leaders through ambiguity 

  • Clear communicator with the ability to simplify complexities

  • Solutions-oriented thought leader

  • Strong influencer and change-maker

This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
