ROLE OVERVIEW
Materialize is looking for a hands-on Senior Marketing Manager to scale our marketing function, with field marketing as the primary motion. This is a high impact role: you'll shape marketing strategy and drive execution, working closely with the CEO, Sales, and Product, in support of Materialize's top-down enterprise sales motion for data infrastructure. You'll plan and run events, distribute content across our website, social channels, and newsletter, and get customers on stage and in front of our sales team. Product Marketing owns most of our content; you'll own how and where it reaches the world. This opportunity is for someone who wants outsized responsibility at a fast-growing company and who is energized by building rather than managing.
You'll also connect the Materialize sales team with engineering leaders, architects, and technical decision-makers who are building context engines for AI agents and applications. A big part of this role is working directly with our customers, generating new meetings, getting their stories on paper, and getting them on stage.
Our customers rely on Materialize to power AI agents and applications. We’re applying the same AI-first mindset internally, with our Marketing team using AI agents to scale research, content, outreach, and distribution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shape and execute Materialize's end-to-end marketing strategy alongside Leadership, with field marketing as the primary motion for generating meetings with enterprise buyers.
Own field marketing and events: planning and executing conferences, meetups, executive dinners, webinars, hackathons, and customer events that build real relationships and drive measurable pipeline. Invite customers to speak, co-present, and share their stories on stage.
Work directly with customers like Notion, Bilt Rewards, and Crane Worldwide to source their success stories, partnering with Product Marketing to shape them into blog posts, social content, and speaking opportunities.
Own distribution of Materialize's content and digital presence: website, blog, newsletter, and social channels, partnering with Product Marketing, who creates most of our content, to get it in front of the right audience at the right time.
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across organic, paid, partner, and lifecycle channels to drive awareness, product adoption, and qualified pipeline.
Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Leadership to align marketing initiatives with pipeline goals, product launches, and customer milestones.
Translate company goals into measurable marketing plans with clear KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting across awareness, pipeline generation, product adoption, and revenue impact.
Continuously experiment, measure, and optimize marketing performance to maximize business impact, while identifying new opportunities to grow Materialize's brand through speaking opportunities, partnerships, podcasts, analyst relations, and technical publications.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5–8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with significant experience supporting a top-down, enterprise sales motion in data infrastructure.
A true full-stack marketer, you're as comfortable setting strategy as you are in execution: interfacing with customers, launching campaigns, distributing the newsletter, running the event, shipping website updates, and measuring the results.
Prior experience in field marketing is required — this is the core motion of the role, and you've owned event strategy end-to-end, planning and hosting events that drove pipeline.
Experience marketing highly technical products to architects, engineering leaders, and technical decision-makers. You know how to earn their trust, not just their attention.
Hands-on experience automating marketing workflows with AI agents. You've built or deployed agents to accelerate research, content production, lead enrichment, outreach, or distribution
Technical proximity is a requirement. You don't need to write production code, but you need to hold a five-minute technical conversation with an engineer and write content that engineers trust and share.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts without losing their depth or credibility.
Comfortable using modern marketing tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Clay, Sanity, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, and equivalent.
A builder mentality: you've operated at an early-stage startup without a big budget and figured out what works through organic programs, not paid spend.
Data-driven mindset: you set goals before you execute and use post-program data to improve.
