The Challenge Ahead…

Reporting to the Head of Product in Creative Innovation, you will lead overall execution of EA's UGX (User Generated Experience Strategy) by partnering with technology, legal and product stakeholders across multiple game teams and central teams.


Responsibilities

* You will oversee a central UGX budget and disburse funds at important milestones according to a comprehensive product roadmap.

* Evolve EA’s UGX strategy by integrating new insights and learnings from internal sources and ongoing competitive market analysis.

* Establish KPIs to evaluate the short-term and long-term upside of UGX investments.

* Prioritize competing UGX investment asks against short-term and long-term benefits based on game team and technology requirements.

* You will manage a team of producers responsible for owning subsets of studio needs end to end

* You will oversee and drive execution of UGX pillars focusing on moderation, monetization and content creation / curation as funded projects in appropriate teams across the company.

* Evaluate long-term UGX portfolio scenarios in relation to company P&L goals.

* Implement player-centric UGX pillars with an emphasize on driving acquisition, retention, and lifetime engagement.

* Advocate and educate external stakeholders about the significance of UGX and partner with Corporate Communications to drive broad awareness of EA’s UGX strategy.


Qualifications

* Experience developing and delivering a large-scale UGX program in the videogame industry.

* Experience leading cross-functional teams consisting of both direct and dotted-line reports.

* Demonstrated change management skills: establish new operational guidelines where none exist and lead stakeholders through the journey of developing new capabilities.

* Understanding of basic legal, community, content, and technological opportunities associated with UGX.

* Financial experience in cost modeling and optimization.

* You have navigated a complex, matrixed organization and making decisions based on input from different stakeholders with different priorities.

* 12 - 15 years experience as a product owner of a consumer-facing technology, platform, service or experience.

* BA or equivalent degree in a relevant field.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
