The Opportunity

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for key products within our fintech portfolio. You’ll drive the full product lifecycle — from discovery and market research through backlog grooming, story refinement, and delivery — turning user feedback and competitive insights into a compelling product vision. Partnering closely with engineering, data, operations, and compliance, you will deliver customer-centric, compliant, and commercially successful products. This role is ideal for a product leader equally comfortable setting long-term strategy, digging into customer insights, facilitating sprint ceremonies, and translating complex concepts into intuitive digital experiences. You will champion AI adoption across the product development process, identifying opportunities to leverage intelligent tooling and automation to drive efficiency and accelerate innovation.

What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

· Define, own, and continuously refine the product roadmap for your area, aligned with company and department goals, competitive positioning, and market opportunities — balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic vision.

· Lead ongoing discovery and market research — including competitor analysis, customer interviews, and behavioral data review — to identify unmet needs, emerging trends, and feature opportunities that keep our products ahead of the market.

· Build and communicate a compelling product narrative and business case to align stakeholders across engineering, operations, compliance, and senior leadership.

· Synthesize user feedback, customer research, and product analytics into a prioritized product vision that addresses real borrower pain points and positions our products competitively.

Discovery & Execution

· Drive continuous customer discovery through interviews, usability testing, and analysis of behavioral data and product analytics — translating findings directly into validated product enhancements.

· Own backlog grooming and story refinement — writing clear, well-scoped user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing the backlog to maximize value delivery, and ensuring engineering teams always have a well-prepared queue of work.

· Translate customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives into clear requirements and well-defined user stories, ensuring shared understanding across engineering and design teams.

· Validate concepts through experiments (A/B tests, pilots, betas) and iterate based on qualitative and quantitative feedback, using results to sharpen roadmap priorities and feature direction.

· Work closely with engineering to define technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and release plans, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive timely, high-quality delivery.

· Champion AI adoption across product development — identifying, piloting, and scaling AI-powered tools and workflows that reduce manual effort, accelerate delivery cycles, and improve product decision-making.

· Leverage AI and automation to streamline requirements gathering, documentation, and backlog management — enabling the team to focus more time on high-value discovery, design, and strategy work.

Growth & Optimization

· Use data, experimentation, and user feedback to measure product performance, validate assumptions, and inform roadmap tradeoffs — driving continuous improvement informed by real user behavior.

· Monitor competitive landscape and product benchmarks on an ongoing basis, ensuring product capabilities and user experience are consistently at or above industry standards.

· Track key product metrics (activation, retention, task completion, error rates, cross-sell/upsell) and drive targeted optimizations to improve outcomes for borrowers and the business.

· Identify opportunities to embed AI-powered features into the product experience — such as intelligent recommendations, automated decisioning support, and personalized borrower guidance — that differentiate our offerings and deliver measurable user value.

· Coordinate feature launches with cross-functional teams, defining success criteria, release sequencing, and rollout plans to ensure smooth delivery and measurable impact.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

· Ensure products meet regulatory, legal, security, and risk requirements relevant to financial services/fintech.

· Proactively identify operational and customer risks, define mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement in product processes and documentation.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

· Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for your product area with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

· Communicate priorities, progress, and outcomes clearly and regularly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

---

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

· 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years leading or managing product teams.

· Demonstrated experience with agile product development: facilitating backlog grooming, story refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives in close collaboration with engineering and design teams.

· Demonstrated success owning a product or large product area from concept through launch and ongoing optimization.

· Strong command of product and business metrics (activation, retention, conversion, LTV, churn) and experience using data to drive prioritization decisions and roadmap tradeoffs.

· Solid grasp of core PM practices: customer discovery, roadmap development, requirements definition, backlog management, and product lifecycle management.

· Ability to translate complex financial and technical concepts into simple, customer-friendly experiences.

· Demonstrated ability to synthesize user feedback, competitive research, and market data into actionable product strategy and a prioritized roadmap that drives measurable outcomes.

· Proven track record of adopting AI tools and automation to improve team efficiency, streamline product workflows, and accelerate time-to-delivery — with a mindset of continuous improvement through emerging technology.

Nice to Have

· Experience with auto lending, auto refinancing, or consumer credit products.

· Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, or platform-based products.

· Experience working with external partners or B2B clients in a product-led organization.

· Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, LaunchDarkly, or similar).

· Familiarity with consumer trust signals and UX patterns specific to financial products, such as rate transparency, savings framing, social proof, and friction reduction in multi-step applications.

· Background in marketplace, embedded finance, or white-label products where distribution runs through a business channel but the end user is a consumer.
