Job Description

Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of accounting information to Company.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepares and processes journal entries, monthly reconciliation on accounts and documentation, reconciling monthly bank account.
  • Perform general ledger account analysis for all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Maintains fixed assets and depreciation of accounts.
  • Produces monthly financial statements including budget variance reports.
  • Responsible for assisting the Financial Accounting Manager in producing periodic financial reports; fully supporting the financial reporting information needs of divisional directors and departmental managers.
  • Ensures the integrity of the financial statements by reviewing all sub-system entries posted to the general ledger.
  • Responsible for understanding the flow/impact of financial information from the casino cage to the general ledger.
  • Preparing or overseeing the preparation of account analysis for assigned balance sheet, income and expense accounts.
  • Analyzes and tests monthly financials to ensure compliance with contracts, regulations Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and internal accounting policies.
  • Support external auditors in the completion of annual audits.
  • Assist the Financial Accounting Supervisor in the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast company business activity.
  • Ensure the general ledger is closed within Silver Slipper Casino guidelines.
  • Assume various responsibilities and perform various duties of special projects as necessary
