The Opportunity
The Senior Tactical Systems Integration Engineer – Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) serves as the technical lead supporting the integration, testing, deployment, and operational employment of advanced Counter-UAS capabilities for Federal Government customers. The position integrates multi-vendor sensors, tactical communications, command and control (C2) systems, edge computing platforms, and defeat systems into mission-ready operational capabilities. The role works closely with government program offices, operational units, software developers, and industry partners to ensure successful fielding, testing, training, and sustainment of C-UAS solutions.
Key Responsibilities (Principal Duties and Accountabilities *Essential Functions)
Mission Systems Integration
- Integrate C-UAS sensors, effectors, C2 software, tactical communications, and edge computing platforms.
- Configure and validate radar, RF, EO/IR, AI-enabled analytics, and tactical network connectivity.
- Support Common Operating Picture (COP) integration using open architectures and standard interfaces.
- Maintain system integration documentation and configuration baselines.
- Support software installation, upgrades, and cybersecurity compliance.
Tactical Network Integration
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot tactical IP networks supporting expeditionary operations.
- Integrate wired, wireless, SATCOM, LTE/5G, and mesh networking solutions.
- Support edge computing and resilient communications in contested environments.
- Resolve interoperability, latency, and network performance issues.
Test, Evaluation & Experimentation
- Plan and execute developmental testing, operational testing, demonstrations, and field experimentation.
- Develop test plans, performance metrics, and acceptance criteria.
- Document deficiencies, lessons learned, and technical recommendations.
Operational Support
- Provide field engineering support during demonstrations, exercises, and deployments.
- Install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot C-UAS systems.
- Support mission planning, execution, and post-mission analysis.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical interface with government customers.
- Deliver technical briefings and capability demonstrations.
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), design reviews, and working groups.
Training
- Develop operator and maintainer training.
- Create SOPs and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and support New Equipment Training.
Requirements
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Clearance Eligibility: Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS. Preferred TS/SCI Clearance
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Military Science, or equivalent experience
Required Skills, Experience & Abilities
- 8+ years supporting DoD or Federal Government programs.
- Experience integrating tactical communications, C2, mission systems, or Counter-UAS technologies.
- Knowledge of IP networking and systems integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military experience in SOF, Fires, Air Defense, Signal, Aviation, or Intelligence.
- Experience supporting DEVCOM, PM UAS, JCO, SOCOM, DoS, or DHS
- Experience with TAK, FAAD C2, MAVEN, AFATDS, sensor fusion, and edge computing

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time, which may include extended periods of standing, walking, or navigating airports and government facilities.

- CONUS and OCONUS travel as required to Government-directed locations
Summary
- Core Hours 0900- 1600 EST, travel as needed based on Customer requirements.
Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000–$170,000, depending on geographic location and experience.
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, location, and internal equity.
