About the role
Le Flâneur, the signature French brasserie at Recess Hotel & Club, is seeking polished, knowledgeable, and hospitality-driven Servers to join our team. Inspired by the timeless charm of a French brasserie, Le Flâneur offers a vibrant dining experience rooted in genuine hospitality, exceptional food and beverage, and meaningful guest connections.
As a Server, you will guide guests through their dining experience with confidence, warmth, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, wine, and service, takes pride in creating memorable experiences, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
What you'll do
- Deliver attentive, personalized, and professional service throughout each guest's dining experience
- Develop a thorough knowledge of Le Flâneur's food, beverage, wine, cocktail, and dessert offerings
- Guide guests through menu selections and make thoughtful recommendations based on their preferences
- Accurately enter orders and process transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards and sequence of service
- Anticipate guest needs and provide genuine, hospitality-focused service
- Maintain awareness of menu changes, daily features, and seasonal offerings
- Pre-bus and reset tables throughout service to maintain a polished dining environment
- Collaborate closely with culinary, bar, host, and support teams to ensure seamless service
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of service stations and dining areas
- Promote featured menu items, wine selections, cocktails, and special offerings when appropriate
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellence and hospitality
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant serving experience preferred; upscale dining experience is a plus
- Passion for hospitality, food, wine, and guest engagement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn and confidently communicate menu and beverage knowledge
- Experience using point-of-sale systems preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry food and beverage trays safely
- Professional presentation and grooming standards
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
