Job Summary
The role of Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to members and guests by creating a welcoming dining experience while ensuring efficient, accurate, and courteous food and beverage service.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up service stations and complete assigned opening and side work duties
- Greet members and guests promptly and provide immediate attention upon seating
- Ensure children are seated safely and securely in appropriate seating accommodations
- Present food and beverage menus and answer questions regarding menu selections
- Serve ice water and provide recommendations on menu items, daily specials, and wine selections
- Verify member account names and numbers for accurate billing
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests or cooking instructions to the kitchen
- Coordinate food assembly and retrieve items from service stations as needed
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, professionally, and courteously
- Monitor member and guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and promptly address needs, including replenishing water, condiments, and accompaniments
- Remove used dishes and clear tables between courses
- Reset tables with appropriate tableware and service items
- Present dessert menus and offer dessert, coffee, and after-dinner beverage selections
- Prepare and verify the accuracy of guest checks, including applicable taxes, gratuities, and charges
- Present checks and process payments according to club procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room areas, service stations, and workspaces
- Clear, clean, and reset vacated tables promptly
- Report member or guest concerns and complaints to management immediately
- Complete assigned closing and cleanup duties
- Attend pre-shift meetings as scheduled by management
- Submit all sales tickets and required documentation at the end of each shift
- Thank members and guests and encourage their return to the club
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and club policies regarding the responsible service of alcoholic beverages
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to club standards and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Highschool or equivalent
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a restaurant, private club, hospitality, hotel, or fine dining environment preferred
- Previous customer service experience required
- Experience serving food and alcoholic beverages in a high-volume, member-focused environment preferred
- Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system preferred
- Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices preferred

Schedule Requirements
- While this role offers flexibility, availability on weekends and holidays is expected to support Club operations
Training
- This role includes hands-on shadowing and mentorship with the Clubhouse Manager to ensure success and skill development

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry trays throughout a shift
