JOB LOCATION : Main Campus

DEPARTMENT: SGA ENGINEERING

SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8am to 5 pm

POSITION SUMMARY 

Coordinates Service Center activities to facilitate ongoing communication and efficient departmental operations. Ensures prompt, courteous customer service satisfaction is maintained. Recommends new procedures and assists in the development and implementation of systems for smooth operation of the Service Center and Integrated Service. Assists in the coordination of all Environment of Care (EC) activities for SGMC Health and material controls as well as training of engineering personnel for safety in the workplace. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

At least two years postsecondary education and technical training. Knowledge of medical terminology. Office experience with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, organize and prioritize work, and use computer. Healthcare experience preferred. Ability to interface with all levels of the healthcare system; Required computer skills for collation of information; Assists in matters of performance reviews and discipline. 

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION 

Able to sit in a confined work area. Able to walk, climb, stand, turn, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Needs visual and hearing acuity. Able to operate computer, fax machine, copier, telephone, and radio systems, and calculator. Able to handle multiple priorities and distribute work assignments according to priority. Able to communicate with all levels of staff, administration, and vendors. Must be service oriented and have a high degree of flexibility in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
