Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the automotive service team, including service technicians and support staff.
- Ensure all vehicle maintenance and repair services are performed to the highest standards.
- Oversee service writing, including accurate documentation of customer requests and technician recommendations.
- Manage customer interactions to provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions promptly.
- Conduct auto estimating for repairs and maintenance, ensuring transparency in pricing for customers.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures within the service department.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
- Implement training programs for staff to enhance skills in vehicle maintenance, air brake systems, and customer service.
- Analyze sales reports and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth within the service department.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, including air brake systems and auto estimating.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and financial management within an automotive setting.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Familiarity with service writing processes and software applications used in automotive repair shops.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive services are a plus.
