Job Summary:
The Service Route & Inventory Rep (SRIR) will support their Managers in the supply and service to his/her established customer base. This role is accountable for providing quality service, distribution of goods and great customer service support to our customer.
The SRIR must be able to deal with a large and diverse range of products, as well as a large customer base. This position must work well under pressure – and effectively as a team member. The SRIR must be able to cope effectively with difficult situations and multiple demands.
This position will be responsible for administration of the receipt, storage, and dispatch of battery inventory. Ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained and conducting regular stocktakes. Ensuring that all customer orders are picked, packed, and delivered in an efficient, accurate, and timely. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Work closely with their Manager to ensure customers are aware of initiatives and current battery promotions.
• Work with manager to achieve budgeted units and targets set by VP of OP’s
• Promote benefits and value program of battery program to customer network.
• Delivery of batteries and/or ancillary products distributed by Club Assist.
• Responsible for fill rate and stock mix of customers / Battery Rotation, Consignment / Inventory Control for customer locations, Warranty adjudication / Warranty rate management, Vehicle Inventory control
• Maintain all company logs, records and reports on a daily basis; analyze Daily Volume Reports.
• Receive payment for products sold and accurately record into assigned account according to banking procedures.
• Support contractors by reaching sales budget goals/targets; accountable for knowing and ensuring sales budget expectations are met.
• While supporting routes you have full responsibility of the following:
- Fill rate and stock mix of customers / Battery Rotation
- Consignment / Inventory Control for Providers
- Vehicle Inventory control / Variances / FIFO
- Stock take before the start of the route and end of route
• Battery Testing knowledge and equipment troubleshooting
• Maintain vehicle condition and appearance
• Comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), and all other federal, state, and local laws.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Comply with DOT standards and OSHA regulations

• Promptly reporting all hazards and hazardous incidents to management and contributing to hazard control as required. This includes active participation in hazard identification on a regular basis.

• Promptly reporting all accidents/incidents/near misses, participating in any associated accident investigation and assisting to successfully implement any corrective action required.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Prefer minimum 4 years of customer service support, sales or service experience. Able to make decisions and judgments within limitations of role. Experience with self-planning and deadlines.
• Able to resolve conflict (when applicable).
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) experience
• Time management.
• Able to make judgments on the spot and over the phone.
• Well organized. Excellent communication – verbal & written.
• Able to complete reports and paperwork as required.
• Understanding Product knowledge of batteries, testers and ancillary items.
• Ability to relate effectively with others.
• Must have command of the English language and must be able to communicate and discuss service with customers.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL/B) or higher
Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
• Previous automobile battery delivery experience
• Previous trade background in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of OSHA/DOT compliance.
• Road travelling experience (knowledge of surrounding coverage area).
• Basic automotive and mechanical knowledge
• Forklift electric pallet jack certification

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing in and out of the truck.
- Ability to lift, carry, transfer and maneuver batteries and other materials weighing between 50-75 lbs. consistently throughout the shift and all stops.
- Frequent bending, and use of legs, hands, and arms to operate warehouse equipment, , and secure loads.
- Ability to push and pull cart full of batteries and horizontally transfer batteries requiring a force up to 75 lbs.
- Use of a tablet and mobile phone for routing, customer communication, and documentation.
- Must have sufficient vision, depth perception, and hearing to safely operate a vehicle and warehouse equipment in various conditions.
Travel:
- This role requires extensive travel throughout assigned routes, with multiple stops per shift.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required based on business needs.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed inside a commercial truck and at various customer locations, including warehouses, automotive shops, and distribution centers.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- May work in noisy or dusty environments depending on delivery locations.
- Safety gear, including gloves, steel-toe boots, and eye protection, may be required.
- Work schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, depending on delivery needs.
