Job Description

Field Service Technician
 Location: Sandy, UT

Pella of Utah is hiring a Service Technician for a customer-facing role working in homes and on job sites as a Field Service Technician. This is a hands-on position that requires strong construction skills, professionalism, and the ability to represent the company well with homeowners and trade partners.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take the lead on service calls, diagnosing and resolving issues in the field 
  • Use your construction experience to troubleshoot and deliver quality repairs 
  • Build trust with homeowners and trade partners through clear communication and strong work 
  • Manage your day, your work, and your results with a high level of accountability

What We’re Looking For

  • Construction experience required (carpentry, remodeling, installation, etc.) 
  • Comfortable using tools and working with your hands 
  • Able to problem-solve and figure things out in the field 
  • Reliable, shows up, and takes pride in the work 

You do NOT need direct window and door experience. We will train you.

What We’ll Teach You

  • How to service and repair Pella windows and doors 
  • How to diagnose issues and complete repairs 
  • How we run service calls and document work 

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided) 
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. alone (100+ with assistance) and climb ladders 
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical 
  • Strong construction background (carpentry, remodeling, installation, or similar) 
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field 
  • Strong communication skills – comfortable working directly with homeowners and trade partners 
  • Professional presence and ability to represent the company in customer homes and job sites 
  • Strong computer skills – able to use an iPad/tablet for service notes, job documentation, and communication 
  • Ability to stay organized, manage your schedule, and follow through on service work
