Job Description
The Service Technician I is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of technology systems, portable sanitation units, and modular/mobile housing units at remote and field-based sites. This role combines technical expertise in communications and surveillance equipment with hands-on service and operational support for portable restrooms and mobile facility infrastructure. The technician ensures all equipment is functional, compliant, and maintained to company and customer standards while delivering excellent customer service.
 
Technology Products: 
  • Install, configure, and repair communication systems including mobile cellular equipment, wireless networks, and satellite systems. 
  • Support maintenance and repair of surveillance systems including IP cameras and NVRs. 
  • Configure and troubleshoot network, telephony, and satellite systems. 
  • Perform routine maintenance, system checks, retrofits, and upgrades. 

 

Portable Restroom Technician Duties: 
  • Deliver, set up, service, and remove portable restroom units at job sites. 
  • Perform cleaning, pumping, sanitization, and restocking of supplies. 
  • Inspect units for damage and perform minor repairs. 
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations for waste handling. 
  • Operate service vehicles and equipment safely. 

 

Modular / Mobile Housing Technician Duties: 
  • Install, set up, and dismantle modular buildings and mobile housing units
  • Connect and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and low-voltage systems. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on structures and fixtures. 
  • Conduct site inspections to meet safety and operational standards. 
  • Assist with relocation, anchoring, and leveling of units. 

 

General Field Responsibilities: 
  • Communicate job progress and updates with stakeholders. 
  • Maintain service records and documentation. 
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles. 

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and low-voltage systems. 
  • Familiarity with sanitation and modular building systems. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently in remote environments. 
  • Strong customer service and attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 

 

Education or Certification: 
  • Technical training or equivalent experience. 
  • 1–2 years of relevant field experience. 

 

Physical & Work Environment: 
  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions. 
  • Frequent lifting, bending, and manual labor.
