Job Description

ABOUT BATHHOUSE

Bathhouse is where the sauna meets the social scene. Thermal pools, steam rooms, and elite hands-on treatments — all in a sleek, high-energy space. We're the intersection of wellness and social. Equal parts sanctuary and scene.

We build spaces where anyone, with any body, can show up and feel better leaving than they arrived.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bathhouse is seeking a thoughtful and experienced Shift Manager to help oversee the operations of the facility. This role includes day-to-day oversight over multiple departments — including guest services, amenities, therapies, restaurant, and housekeeping — ensuring everything runs smoothly and consistently throughout the shift. The Shift Manager leads and supports the team on the floor, ensures that service standards are upheld, and helps create a positive experience for both guests and employees. The role reports into the General Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily floor operations across all departments to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient service flow.
  • Be a visible leader on the floor — support the team and resolve issues in real time.
  • Direct the work of daily staff and ensure that they are consistently meeting service standards so that every guest has a warm, seamless experience.
  • Open and/or close the facility, including cash handling, walk-throughs, checklists, and reporting.
  • Oversee department leads and support them on various tasks such as scheduling, labor management, and break coverage to stay within targets.
  • Monitor cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs; escalate and follow up on issues promptly.
  • Handle guest questions, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and care — turn moments of friction into recovery opportunities.
  • Create and maintain written protocols and training procedures in accordance with our Culture of Documentation (CoD)
  • Coach team members during shifts — provide real-time feedback, guidance, and encouragement.
  • Help interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members, reinforcing culture, systems, and expectations.
  • Maintain awareness of inventory levels for key areas and communicate needs to the appropriate teams.
  • Partner with the GM to provide team member feedback and evaluation, and if necessary, discipline.
  • Prepare and submit end-of-shift notes, incident logs, and updates so the next team is set up for success.
  • Support health, safety, and compliance standards — ensure policies are followed at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–4+ years of experience in hospitality, wellness, spa, fitness, hotel, restaurant, or retail leadership.
  • Experience supervising and managing teams during active shifts (opening, closing, floor management, or similar).
  • Strong people leadership skills — able to motivate, support, and hold teams accountable.
  • Calm under pressure, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable being highly visible on the floor as needed.
  • Proven ability to handle guest issues with empathy, composure, and follow-through.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, labor management, and daily reporting preferred.
  • Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic Google/Office tools.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and operational standards.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to ~25–30 lbs as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Total compensation: $67,000 + monthly bonus
  • Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance available for full-time employees.
  • Complimentary unlimited admission to Bathhouse.
  • Three “Plus One” guest passes per month.
  • 50% discount on services, retail products, and restaurant offerings.
