Primary Purpose
Coordinate and perform traffic transportation and shipping functions. Coordinate shipments using knowledge of freight carrier regulations and corporate policy to ensure most efficient and economical movement of goods. Advise distribution personnel on transportation methods. Support total quality manufacturing concepts through responsibilities which include sales order fulfillment, maintenance of the warehouse, maintaining cycle count programs, ensuring data accuracy and delivery of product to end user.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Responsible for domestic and international shipping of product materials and information.
- Plans schedules and routes outbound shipments of freight to realize timely, arrivals in the most cost-efficient manner.
- Ensures compliance and completion of the appropriate documentation including but not limited to shipping letters of instruction, dangerous goods statements and bills of lading.
- Maintains shipping and RMA receiving policies and procedures.
- Maintain efficiency and professional appearance of shipping/packaging area.
- Other responsibilities include inspecting shipments for damage and advising distribution personnel on best methods for shipments.
- Assist, as requested, with effectively organizing the warehouse and enforcing
- procedures, inventory documents and inventory control training material. Pull inventory to fill customer sales orders and I.T.s. Ensure accurate transactions occur for all inventory movement.
- Coordinate the receipt and storage of product as it is moved through inventory.
- Perform cycle count and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Accept other responsibilities as assigned.
- Complete training as identified by standard operating procedures and procedural work instructions.
- Regular attendance is an essential job function.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures relating to confidential propriety information (CPI) including but not limited to what is outlined in the Confidentiality and Non-Solicitation Agreement.
Contacts:
- Internal: Contact with Manufacturing, QA/RA, Engineering, R&D, Technical Support, Field Service, Purchasing and Shipping.
- External: Occasional contact with vendors.
Travel: Very limited travel < than 5%
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent. 2-year degree, preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing and inventory control.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Working Conditions:
- Will be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear and see. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach with hands and arms. Requires repetitive motion and manual dexterity. The environment is fastpaced; time pressured and requires accuracy. Will be required to regularly multi-task between projects, move throughout the office building and effectively communicate. The normal production environment can be louder due to equipment running.
