Job Description

Day Shift

Primary Purpose

Supervises and coordinates with all departments and Sales the schedule for shipping and loading of trucks.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates run schedules with all departments to achieve Mountaire standards for on-time loading and order fill rate based on availability of raw material, labor and equipment.
  2. Ensures all trucks are inspected for sanitation and temperature control before loading. Ensures bills of lading and all shipping documents are completed for each truck loaded. Ensures cooler inventory reports are accurate. Ensures the timely loading of all finished loads as well as verification of shipment through Sales and Transportation.
  3. Works closely with USDA, Maintenance, Accounting and personnel. Coordinates with USDA and Grading Service and FSQA to meet customer/regulatory requirements on fresh and frozen orders.
  4. Supervises, trains and schedules employees for the most efficient control of cost and overtime.
  5. Monitors, promotes and enforces a culture of safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Agriculture, Operations Manager and/or Business; relevant years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5 - 7 years demonstrated supervisory/management experience.
  • Previous poultry experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing management experience required if no poultry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial analysis in an operations setting (Agristats).
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) in depth knowledge and experience.
  • USDA regulations on sanitation and pre-operations guidelines.
  • Subject to nights, weekends and telephone coordination through the week and weekend.
