PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Site Director will direct and manage the daily operations of the designated Clubs overseen
by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley with the primary concern from programs, service
delivery, supervision, training of staff, facilities management, and membership administration.
KEY ROLES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Leadership
• Ensure programs, services, and activities are implemented that prepare youth for success,
always promoting the safety of members and quality in programs. Provide guidance and role
modeling for members and staff.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of the BGCMV mission by:
• Planning, organizing, and implementing a range of program services and activities for club
members.
• Introduce new programs with approval from Directors.
• Promoting and stimulating program participation by preparing bulletin boards, and attractive
marketing techniques around the club to ensure a happy and positive environment.
o Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members, and staff in program areas.
o Manage the club facility to ensure a productive work area and a clean safe environment.
Maintain all program equipment and supplies in good working order and recommend
replacing items as necessary.
o Schedule and facilitate at least one staff meeting per month.
o Attend all site director meetings.
o Complete assigned trainings.
Supervision
• In cooperation with your Director of Operations, train, manage, and supervise assigned
staff and volunteers: provide ongoing feedback; and identify and support development
opportunities.
• Work closely with your Director of Operations in dealing with all employee behaviors
that effect quality of job performance. Report all such activity to your director with
written documentation where each situation will be handled professionally and promptly
by the Director of Operations and the Executive Director when needed.
• Help to implement the behavior plan and manage behaviors as needed.
• Plan and organize snacks and meals, delegating responsibilities to team members
appropriately. Provide supply list to Director of Operations in a timely manner.
Partnership Development
• Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
• Recruitment of new members, retention of previous/current members through creative
techniques, school visits (lunch), PTO meetings, open houses, etc.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• May participate in special programs and/or events within the community, other non-profit
agencies, or other BGCMV events including trainings.
• May be required to drive van for trips/activities
• May need to answer phones, greet visitors at the door, and attend to guests as needed.
• Delegate duties appropriately
• Assume other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• A minimum of three years' work experience in planning and implementation programs
preferred.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to motivate youth and mange behavior problems.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff.
• Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Mandatory Trainings /CPR and First Aid Certifications Valid.

• Fast paced and sometimes loud environments.
• Requires time spent outside for activities with children and includes standing for long
periods of time.
