Position Overview

The Software Developer modernizes TRDM's legacy SOA web services into containerized, cloud-native services. Works in an Agile/SAFe environment. Off-site permitted for unclassified work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refactor legacy Java SOA web services into containerized cloud-native applications
  • Develop new REST APIs to replace legacy SOAP/WSDL endpoints where appropriate
  • Implement and test interface changes
  • Address Fortify SAST findings
  • Maintain code in Subversion / Git repositories
  • Document interfaces per IDD and IRDD requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active SECRET clearance
  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II
  • 5+ years software development, 3+ years Java enterprise
  • Web services experience (REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML)

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Developer
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Agile/SAFe
  • Prior DoD IT or USTRANSCOM experience

Work Environment / Location

Off-site permitted for unclassified work; on-site at Scott AFB for SIPRNet work and major milestone reviews.
