The position:
The Software Engineer – Integrations & Platforms is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise integrations, internal platforms, APIs, and cloud-based services that connect the firm’s core technology ecosystem. This role includes development of scalable data pipelines, operational tooling, advisor-facing applications, and integrations between internal systems and third-party financial platforms using technologies such as C#, Angular, TypeScript, SQL, Azure Data Factory, and cloud infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop internal platform applications and operational tooling using Angular, TypeScript, and C#
- Build and maintain ELT/data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL-based processing
- Develop cloud-native services and APIs in Azure environment
- Create scalable data ingestion and transformation workflows integrating third-party financial systems
- Design and optimize relational database structures and SQL queries supporting enterprise reporting and operational processes
- Build internal dashboards, automation tools, and monitoring capabilities supporting advisor and operations teams
- Participate in architectural planning for enterprise data and integration platforms
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements
- Support mergers and acquisitions through technology and data integration
- Create and maintain technical documentation and architectural diagrams
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Compensation: Merit Financial Advisors offers competitive compensation based on experience, qualifications, location, and market data. Where required by applicable law, salary ranges will be provided during the hiring process.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building APIs and system integrations
- Proficiency in C# and SQL
- Strong understanding of RESTful services and integration patterns
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience developing in a cloud environment (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Experience with ELT/ETL workflows and enterprise data integration
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms in an M&A environment
- Familiarity with identity, access management, and security best practices
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Experience designing internal operational or data platforms
