The Work
Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software engineer.
In this role, you will contribute to the systems and software design of complex combat management capability threads as part of the Future Combat Systems team. You will learn to use a model-based systems engineering approach supporting requirements, performance, and functional allocation of software components. You will also be working on the design, development, and test of containerized software applications in a microservice based architecture. The software engineer will help to test the software in a Kubernetes environment.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge in developing software using Java, C++, and/or Python.

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience with design and development of software using Java, C++ or Python
• Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $142,760.
