Role Summary

As an Electrician on the Residential team, you will support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of residential solar electrical systems, battery storage systems, EV chargers, and electrical upgrades. Working alongside experienced electricians, you will perform high-quality electrical installations, ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes, and contribute to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install residential electrical equipment, wiring, and devices for solar PV systems

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of battery storage systems (Enphase, Tesla)

  • Perform residential electrical upgrades, including service heavy-ups, main panel replacements, and load center modifications

  • Install EV charging equipment under the direction of senior electricians

  • Integrate battery systems with existing electrical infrastructure and solar PV systems where applicable

  • Interpret and implement electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and site plans

  • Conduct electrical testing, including voltage verification, continuity checks, and basic system commissioning

  • Troubleshoot and assist with servicing solar PV systems, battery storage systems, electrical equipment, and EV chargers

  • Ensure all electrical work meets company specifications, quality standards, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and local jurisdictional requirements

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, tools, materials, and equipment

  • Maintain accurate records of installation and service activities, including photos and required documentation

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, team members, and homeowners regarding project status

  • Keep company vehicles well-maintained, fully stocked, and properly serviced

  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall project success


Requirements

  • 2+ years of Residential electrical experience required

  • Solar experience is preferred

  • Willingness to obtain Journeyman's license 

  • Proficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and wiring

  • Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems, including wiring, assembly, and troubleshooting

  • Ability to identify and resolve basic electrical issues in the field

  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

  • Capability to climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periods

  • Comfort working in attics and confined spaces

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly

  • Proficiency with smartphones and tablets for communication, documentation, and use of job-related applications

  • A strong record of reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards on every job
