Required Experience

  • 11+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect and/or Data Engineer designing and implementing data solutions

  • Experience leading teams and/or mentoring other engineers

  • Ability to develop end-to-end technical solutions into production while ensuring performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration

  • Strong programming expertise in Java, Python, and/or Scala

  • Hands-on experience with core cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries

  • Strong client-facing written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to create and deliver detailed technical presentations

  • Experience creating detailed solution documentation, including proofs of concept (PoCs), roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Candidate must be located in Bangalore (remote)

Preferred Experience

  • Production experience in platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, and Databricks

  • Experience with cloud and distributed data storage systems such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, Elasticsearch, Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL storage systems

  • Experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, event streaming, StreamSets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS Data Migration Service, Azure Data Factory, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, Google Dataproc, or similar tools

  • Experience working with multiple data sources including queues, relational databases, files, search platforms, and APIs

  • Complete software development lifecycle experience including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment

  • Experience with automated data transformation and data curation using dbt, Spark, Spark Streaming, and automated pipelines

  • Experience with workflow management and orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, and NiFi
