    REQUIRED CRITERIA:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; 60 or more college credits desirable.
    • Experience working with children.
    • Two years experience working with disabled children in a school setting.
    • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in mathematics, and ability to communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work successfully with students with various disabilities.
    • Ability to demonstrate basic tech skills on computers, tablets, and laptops.
    • Ability to work well with other assigned staff to establish a positive learning environment for students.
    • Ability to physically perform job duties, such as lifting student(s), toileting, removal of a student(s), blocking inappropriate behavior, implementing crisis intervention techniques, following student(s) to all activities, and participating with students(s) in those activities.
    • Ability to lift or move over 40 pounds.
    • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student information.
    • Willingness to fulfill the specific performance responsibilities of the position as they relate to individual student needs.
    • Evidence of good moral character as determined by reference checks, fingerprinting review and observation.
    • Ability to define problems, analyze data, in collaboration with the classroom teacher and the behavior specialists to demonstrate the ablility to define problems and analyze data.
    • Willing to be trained in CPR and Crisis Prevention.
    • Computer proficiency
