Spirited Gourmet Assistant Job Responsibilities:

•    Greet members and guests and provide exceptional customer service 
•    Assist members and guests with wine, gourmet food, and specialty item selections
•    Aids with displaying and restocking of shop merchandise
•    Assists Manager with weekly and monthly retail display changes
•    Assists Manager with par stock levels
•    Helps develop strategies to ensure repeat sales
•    Answers telephone and responds to questions and requests in a pleasant and helpful manner
•    Registers members and guests for events
•    Support wine tastings, promotions, and special retail events
•    Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
•    Maintains up to date and accurate shop records (inventory, invoices, etc.)
•    Follow all Club policies regarding alcohol sales and responsible service
•    Maintain knowledge of current products, promotions, and pricing
•    Performs gift wrapping, as needed
•    Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the wine shop
•    Works variety of shifts, as needed, to include nights, weekends, and/or holidays
•    Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees
•    Complies with departmental and Club appearance standards
•    Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures
•    Performs all other duties as assigned

·    Spirited Gourmet Assistant Minimum Qualifications: 

•    High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•    Previous retail experience, preferably in a food and beverage outlet
•    Knowledge of fine wines and specialty food items preferred but not required
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems
•    Valid U.S. Driver’s License to operate club vehicles

Spirited Gourmet Assistant Physical Requirements: 

•    Standing and walking 80% of shift
•    Bending and stooping 10% of shift
•    Ability to lift, carry or move up to 50 pounds
