Job Description

Are you looking for the right fit? So are we! Eagle Communications is seeking a Sports & Production Director for a cluster of 5 Employee-Owned radio stations. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, creating compelling play-by-play of area high school sports teams, assigning commercial production, and assisting with LIVE Severe Weather Coverage and on-air live events at client locations. 

Our company: Founded in 1948, Eagle Communications is a Kansas based media company. The company operates 32 radio stations in Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. In addition to radio, the company offers online solutions, web development, video production and creative services- All for the purpose of supporting the communities we serve to grow and remain vibrant. 

This position is located in North Platte, Nebraska.

Experience: 

  • Radio and communications experience preferred
  • Journalism, writing, and public speaking
  • Understands the rules of most sports from study and/or from having played the game(s)
  • Experience with Adobe Audition and open broadcast video software
  • College degree preferred but not necessary
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Requirements:

  • Writes, and produces multiple Sportscasts for AIR and Web Page daily
  • Provides play-by-play on-air and video online broadcasts for North Platte High School sporting events
  • As Production Director, assigns commercial production, Produces Commercials with Adobe Audition, and loads commercial inventory into Nexgen Automation Machines daily. Works with Traffic Director
  • Provide on-air talent for client live events
  • During Spring and Summer, assist with potential LIVE Severe Weather Coverage with possible air shift(s)
  • Other duties may be deemed appropriate by management

Salary:
Compensation is commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401k, paid vacation, and employee stock ownership plan.
