Job Summary:

The Senior Solutions Architect provides advanced technical leadership and strategic solution design across the Professional Services organization. This role is responsible for defining and governing architectural standards, leading enterprise-scale solution initiatives, and serving as a top-tier advisor to clients and internal teams. The Senior Solutions Architect engages in complex, multi-technology solution design, provides executive-level consultation, and mentors other architects and engineers to elevate technical excellence across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise architecture and strategic design

    • Lead design of complex, multi-site, multi-domain, or compliance-driven architectures across cloud, security, networking, and infrastructure.
    • Drive roadmap discussions and contribute to the development of new services and technical offerings.
  • Advance client and executive engagement
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, providing high-level guidance on technology direction, risk, and long-term strategy.
    • Lead strategic consultations, design workshops, and executive-level presentations.
    • Provide architectural oversight during large, enterprise-scale projects and multi-phase transformations.
  • Collect requirements, present and explain technologies, and formulate solutions including hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.
  • Project estimating: Accurately estimate project effort, assess impact of changes, and manage project milestones.
  • Collaborate with sales resources to conduct assessments and provide recommendations for BOM, project scope, and labor estimates.
  • Develop comprehensive professional services pricing, statements of work, proposals, and scope/task lists related but not limited to:
    • Exchange and SharePoint migrations
    • Tenant-to-Tenant and Azure infrastructure migrations
    • Networking fundamentals
    • Virtualization
    • Domain controllers and file share migrations?
    • Onboarding processes
  • Review and improve technical delivery standards, project documentation, and process automation.
  • Maintain accurate work calendar in PSA and log time according to company policy.
  • Participate in kickoff meetings and knowledge transfer across departments.
  • Assist with creation of change orders and assess project impact.
  • Adapt to evolving technology and business trends; participate in continuous learning and improvement.
  • Coach and mentor Solutions Architects and Engineers on architecture principles, design patterns, and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in any other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor�s degree in business, computer-related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Advanced certifications strongly preferred (Azure Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCAP/VCIX, etc.).

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT solution design, systems engineering, or technical consulting (MSP experience strongly preferred).

    • Extensive knowledge of mainstream virtualization technologies
    • Extensive knowledge in mainstream cloud infrastructure
    • Moderate knowledge in mainstream VDI and remote environments
    • Extensive experience with PSA and RMM tools common in MSP environments.
    • Strong understanding of managed services operations, SLAs, and recurring revenue models.
    • Moderate experience deploying enterprise networks and remote desktop services (Citrix/Microsoft).
    • Moderate knowledge of SQL, backup/disaster recovery/business continuity
  • 4+ years of pre-sales/solutions design expertise and technical sales acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
