Summary of job content: 

The Staff Accountant II will play a critical role within the accounting department, supporting financial operations and contributing to process enhancements across the organization. This position requires a higher level of experience and independence than the Staff Accountant I role, including the ability to lead projects, support cross-functional initiatives, and mentor junior staff. Staff Accountant II is expected to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate leadership, and ensure financial integrity across accounting functions.


Education & Experiences:

  • Bachelor's in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • ERP experience (e.g., SAP) preferred

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform complex general ledger reconciliations and month-end close procedures.
  • Lead accounts receivable and accounts payable process improvements.
  • Analyze financial data and prepareaccurateandtimelyfinancial reports.
  • Support external audits by preparing audit schedules and providing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
  • Assistin the implementation of new accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Review and approve employee reimbursements in alignment with policy.
  • Assistwith annual inventory audit and fixed asset tracking.
  • Support HR and finance collaboration on payroll and benefit-related reporting.
  • Mentor junior accountants andassistin training as assigned.
  • Maintain organized records for government filings and reporting compliance.
  • Act as a liaison for interdepartmental financial inquiries and problem resolution.
