Job Summary



 



We are looking for a Staff Accountant to oversee general accounting operations for our company.  Staff accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances, bank statements, maintaining the fixed asset module and assisting in month-end close procedures.  This role requires analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles and attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas.



Essential Functions



 




  • Prepare journal entries on a daily and monthly basis, ensuring accurate account balances.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

  • Enter, dispose, and inventory in the fixed assets module.

  • Prepare and submit annual tangible tax returns for all reporting entities.

  • Perform month end accounting duties in accordance with closing schedule.

  • Assist in maintaining and updating accounting policies and procedures. 

  • Analyze and communicate general ledger and other financial variances.

  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.

  • Understand internal control procedures and regulations.

  • Prepare quarterly schedules and external and internal audit requests.

  • Assist with special projects as needed.

  • All other duties as assigned.
