Job Description
The Washington Commanders are seeking a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by performing a variety of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have technical accounting skills, experience with month-end close processes, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

·         Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly financial statement preparation.

·         Assist with the review of invoice expense coding and proper approvals for vendor payment processing. 

·         Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

·         Assist in annual league and financial audits.

·         Support in continuously improving the Company’s accounting policies and procedures.

·         Assist in the accounting operations of major events. 

·         Assist in the accounting operations of the nonprofit foundation.

·         Prepare various schedules and spreadsheets as requested by supervisor.

·         Assist with various Accounts Receivable requests. 

·         Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

·         Ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years Accounting/Finance experience

·         Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

·         Ability to multi-task and manage business relationships in a professional and confidential manner

·         Excellent time management and interpersonal skills

·         Strong professional ethics and sensitivity in dealing with confidential information

·         Strong attention to detail 

Preferred 

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

·         Knowledge of Concur
