About the team:
Our team bridges the gap between our machine learning at scale and our customers' needs. All the parts of the software that customers see and interact with are within our purview. We provide a seamless way for our customers to make decisions, integrate with their systems, learn insights and navigate the ever-changing world of fraud-fighting without needing to understand the complex technology underneath. That means supporting customer-facing APIs, creating a web application that distills complex ML signals, building automation tools that run on a highly-available multi-service architecture, and providing customer-facing analytics to make endless streams of data understandable, actionable, and usable.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced engineer to help shape our architecture, strengthen our product, and sharpen our toolset as we scale up for our enterprise customers. You should be able to tackle complex, open-ended problems using targeted and scalable solutions all while driving improvements that make the team better.
Great candidates will be passionate about providing great end-to-end customer experience by evolving our data models, scaling and building out reporting, streamlining fraud analyst review queues, and expanding our service infrastructure. You’ll bring experience in taking your ideas from concept to customer, at scale, with high quality, and on time. You thrive on high-growth, high-impact opportunities at a growing startup. You have a clear sense of how you can leverage your strengths and past experience while learning new things.
What you’ll do:
Architect and implement engineering solutions to address complex customer needs at scale
Develop, build, and maintain both internal and external facing API platforms and endpoints to enable customer integration, automation, and powering our customer-facing Console web application
Partner with product management to help scope and shape project requirements
Collaborate with other engineers within the team as well as across other engineering teams
Help evolve and improve our engineering practices
What would make you a strong fit:
8+ years experience designing/delivering highly-available services
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience with RESTful services, API design, and web technologies
Experience working in Java
Strong communication & collaboration skills - a team-first, product-first mindset
Experience with data pipelines, data modeling, and data warehousing
