Job Description

Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based desserts. Our manufacturing facility, located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, produces value added fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.


In this position you will be responsible for, but not limited to repair, fabrication/assemble on industrial equipment using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.

 

The position is for 1st shift 8am – 4pm

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine piping requirements.
  • Can read and work with detailed drawings to fabricate pipes and tanks to a high degree of precision.
  • Select type and size of pipe required. Calculate, measure, cut pipe to required shape using hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail and must be able to perform stainless steel welding functions at an acceptable standard level.
  • Fabrication and installation of various piping and tanks for equipment.
  • Layout, position, align, and secure pipes and tanks prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.
  • Knowledge of material sizes and stainless-steel specification of the product being worked on.

  • Must be capable of working under minimum supervision.

  • Can effectively communicate in both technical and user-friendly language, with all staff.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating the importance of fostering a safe culture

Job Requirements

  • Current or previous CWB certifications in TIG welding - stainless preferred.
  • Experience in sanitary welding /fitting and equipment installation.
  • Experience as a sanitary TIG welder.
  • Experience finishing stainless steel.
  • Food and beverage equipment manufacturing is desired.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods and work under various temperature conditions.
