Job Description

Hours:

Approximately 4-10 hours per week

Duties:

• Serve as first point of contact in the office: promptly and courteously greet students, staff, faculty, and visitors
• Answer the department's general phone line and email account promptly or forward as necessary
• Answer general questions about the university
• Provide assistance to students with Colleague Self Service; requesting transcripts; verifying enrollment, degrees, and certificates; the registration process, adding or dropping a course, and making adjustments to schedules
• Document scanning and electronic file conversion
• Data entry as needed
• Other duties as assigned to support the office

Requirements:

• Ability to project an outgoing, friendly, and welcoming demeanor as the first point of contact in the office
• Assist a diverse population of students, staff, faculty, and visitors
• High degree of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
• Maintain confidentiality and be willing to learn and abide by the policies of the department and the University (requires a signed FERPA/Confidentiality Agreement)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must have eligibility for Work Study funding through Financial Aid (contact [email protected] to confirm)
