JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma, associate’s degree, and/or related experience preferred.
Certification or Licensure: None is required
Skills: Considerable knowledge of business English, general vocabulary, spelling, and arithmetic. Working knowledge of secretarial procedures. Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Ability to provide timely and accurate office support services to staff, compose routine office correspondence, set up and maintain office files, and manage office support services. Ability to operate computer terminals and similar office equipment proficiently. Ability to communicate effectively. Well organized, self-motivated, and innovative.
Work Experience: Prior office / clerical experience preferred.
PRIMARY DUTY:
This position is responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the program administrator, while also supporting the operations of the Richmond County Success Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide secretarial support for the Program Administrator.
- Answer and route incoming calls
- Greet and assist all visitors.
- Maintain and publish a calendar of Success Center activities and events.
- Manage computer and manual filing systems.
- Create and maintain a database of volunteers.
- Create marketing correspondences, including flyers and brochures.
- Maintain the Success Center’s social media and webpage.
- Submit repair requests via School Dude and Incident IQ.
- Support the Program Administrator in coordination of food and clothing distributions.
- Maintain inventory of donations received (clothing, food, personal hygiene items, etc.).
- Maintain records of all items (clothing, food, personal hygiene products, etc.) distributed from the Success Center.
- Receives and distributes mail.
- Prepares and labels material for pony delivery.
- The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned, or required by such employee’s supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law, board policy, administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission.
