Student Support Coordinator


Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana

Position Type: Full-Time (12-Month)

Reports To: Principal

Starting Salary: Beginning at $40,000 annually

Indiana Agriculture and Technology School (IATS) is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and student-focused professional to serve as our Administrative Assistant / Dean of Students. This unique position combines front office leadership with student support and school culture responsibilities. As a growing public charter school serving grades 7–12, we are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys building relationships with students and families, and believes every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.


Administrative Support

· Serve as the first point of contact for students, families, and visitors.

· Manage daily office operations, including phones, attendance, records, and correspondence.

· Assist with student enrollment and registration.

· Maintain student files and ensure compliance with state and school requirements.

· Support the Principal with scheduling, purchasing, reports, and special projects.

· Coordinate school events, meetings, and communications.


Student Support

· Build positive relationships with students while promoting a safe, respectful school environment.

· Support student attendance initiatives and family engagement.

· Assist with student discipline using restorative practices whenever appropriate.

· Help supervise students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, and school activities.

· Work collaboratively with teachers and families to address behavioral and attendance concerns.

· Recognize and celebrate positive student behavior and academic success.

· Oversee the daily operation of the school nutrition program, including meal counts, compliance, recordkeeping, ordering, and coordination with food service vendors and staff.


Qualifications

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

· Previous experience in educational setting preferred.

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

· Positive attitude with a genuine passion for working with students.
