The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking energetic and motivated individuals to join its Substitute Custodial Pool.

Wages: $15.00 per hour

Role: Substitute custodians provide essential janitorial and light maintenance duties on an as-needed (per diem) basis across the District's 10 school buildings.

Path to Full-Time: This role serves as a pipeline for future permanent, benefits-eligible custodial positions within the District.


Flexible Schedule & Locations

• You Control Your Schedule: Accept shifts based on your weekly availability. Opportunities are available daily.
• Primary Need: Shifts are primarily needed Monday through Friday, generally between 2:30 PM until 11:00 PM, though start times can be flexible.
• Advanced Scheduling: We utilize advanced scheduling frequently to provide you with notice.

Typical Tasks

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of specified areas, including classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, conference rooms, hallways, stairwells, cafeterias, and gymnasiums.
• Execute light maintenance duties and trash removal.
• Complete minor outdoor work to ensure a safe and clean appearance of buildings and grounds.
• Assist Head Custodians and the Facilities Management Team with assigned duties.

• Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical duties associated with custodial work, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs (or similar, verify actual requirement).
• Requirements: Must be able to follow directions. Full training is provided!

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
In order to be eligible for employment, the following clearances must be furnished and approved for hire at time of job offer:

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
• FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114)

The following additional trainings and forms are required upon hire:

• Act 126 Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting
• Arrest or Conviction Form (PDE 6004) (Act 24)
• School Personnel Health Record (Physical with TB Test)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Information (Act 168)
