The Summer Intern – HR (Training & Development) will support the design, development, and implementation of training programs within the plant. This role is ideal for a student interested in instructional design, workforce development, and HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and updating training materials, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, visual guides, presentations, and e-learning modules
- Partner with HR, operations, QA, and safety teams to gather content and ensure accuracy of training materials
- Observe production processes on the plant floor to translate procedures into clear, easy-to-understand training content
- Support onboarding and orientation programs by organizing materials and assisting with delivery as needed
- Help standardize training documentation across departments
- Assist in converting existing paper-based training into digital formats
- Participate in evaluating training effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Ensure all training materials align with company policies, USDA regulations, OSHA standards, and food safety requirements
- Maintain organized training files and documentation for audit readiness
Minimum Qualifications
- Upcoming Sophomore- to Senior-level students who are in good standing and currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex processes into clear, concise instructions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
