Job Description
Supervisor / Manager on Duty
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager
Classification:     Non-Exempt / Hourly
 
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for overall store operations and overseeing all employees on duty during the absence of the store manager or assistant manager and to uphold the Gold Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Directing and coaching store employees.
  2. Helping customers locate merchandise and informing them of any product knowledge that may be helpful. Provides outstanding service and sales skills to all customers along with greeting each customer within 10 ft.
  3. Verifying proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise.
  4. Operating handheld Telxon and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  5. Removing damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
  6. Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
  7. Ensuring a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
  8. Attending store and job-related meetings along with completion of required Outfitter trainings.
  9. Following all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
  10. Ensuring that your work area is clean and has sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties.
  11. Thorough knowledge of register functions and sales transactions.
  12. Authorizes returns with no receipt, check approval and store charges.
  13. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  14. Weightlifting capability up to and includes 50 lbs.
  15. Other duties and responsibilities may be required as assigned to meet the needs of business.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete special projects as directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Minimum Age requirement is 18 years old.
  2. Must have at least 6 months of retail experience, leadership and customer service skills.
  3. Required to complete Tow Motor Certification.
  4. Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
Excellent Benefit Package:  Team Members who average a minimum of 25 hours per week after 6 months of employment are eligible for standard dental, vision, accident, legal plan, identity fraud protection plan per standard company eligibility requirements.  Illinois Paid Time Off.
Strong Team Member Discount after 30 days.
 
Wage Scale:  $15.50/hr-$17.50/hr
