Two Openings

Supervisor, Budgets Operations
$100,000 - $125,000 | Hybrid Work Available. May report out of Duluth, MN or Cohasset, MN.

What you'll do:

  • Provide leadership and supervision for the Company’s budgeting functional areas, including capital and/or O&M portfolio/project budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and controls. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct day-to-day technical activities; oversee the review, analysis, and communication of budgets, current estimates, variances, risk trends; and ensure accurate regulatory reporting, ratemaking support, and valid cost allocations. 
  • Lead continuous improvement of project budgeting or O&M controls processes, metrics, and governance support; 
  • Investigate and recommend enhancements to budgeting, document control, and reporting systems; and develops/maintains, policies, procedures, and training. 
  • Collaborate across the Company and with peer leadership groups to support strategy and effective project execution. 
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating technical competency, supporting team development, upholding high work standards, and exhibiting effective mentoring.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor`s degree required. 
    • Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting preferred.
  • Eight years or more job-related experience or equivalent; a broad range of experience may include Accounts Payable, Accounting, Budgeting, Tax, Rates, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Thorough knowledge of utility accounting practices is strongly preferred. 
  • Highly effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
