Brooklyn Bottling is in need of a Supply Chain Manager to join the team.
Salary is at $80k commensurate with experience.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing, communicating, and maintaining an effective production schedule in coordination with our production planner by ensuring the uninterrupted flow, accuracy, and control of raw materials and ingredients.
This role bridges executive direction, production execution, and supply chain discipline to minimize downtime, reduce changeovers, and ensure materials are available, compliant, and properly accounted for.
Production Schedule Execution & Coordination
· Maintain and communicate the official production schedule across all departments
· Clearly communicate schedule changes to all impacted departments and shifts.
Schedule Structure & Optimization Support
· Assure FIFO methods are used for all packaging and ingredient usage
· Report inventory that is within 90 days of its shelf life to communicate urgency of usage
Materials & Ingredient Readiness for Production
· Verify availability of all required materials and ingredients prior to scheduled runs.
· Coordinate with Bulk and Production teams to ensure materials are staged and ready for startup.
· Maintain constant communication with both production shifts to support smooth startups and transitions.
· Print and distribute batch sheets for the Bulk & Production department as required.
Raw Materials & Supply Chain Responsibilities Inventory Control & Optimization
· Ensure appropriate inventory levels of all materials and ingredients
o Avoid over-stocking
o Prevent out-of-stock situations
· Monitor inventory trends and usage patterns
o Ownership of the packaging yield and communicating/resolving with production and operations teams
· Conduct daily facility walk-throughs to ensure:
o No materials are left on production lines after production is completed
o Materials and ingredients are stored in designated and appropriate locations
o Storage conditions comply with all SOP requirements
Supplier & Vendor Management
· Manage supplier relationships
· Ensure vendors:
o Deliver materials on time
o Follow proper storage and handling requirements
o Do not contribute to overstock or shortage issues
· Communicate material defects or concerns to vendors directly or through the MEC portal
· Coordinate with Quality and Production teams on material quality issues
Forecasting & Financial Coordination
· Partner with Finance to forecast material and ingredient requirements
· Align purchasing and inventory levels with production forecasts and budget expectations
· Support accurate cost tracking and inventory valuation
Gas Usage Monitoring (CO2 & Nitrogen)
· Monitor CO2 and Nitrogen usage through vendor portals
· Identify abnormal usage patterns or spikes
· Escalate potential leaks, malfunctions, or inefficiencies to Operations and Maintenance
Inventory Accuracy & Traceability
· Maintain close coordination with Finished Goods Warehousing to ensure:
o Accurate scanning of materials into and out of production
o Proper return of unused materials to inventory
· Investigate discrepancies when incorrect quantities are returned or recorded
· Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory inaccuracies. Perform appropriate cycle counts assigned by finance team-cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory inaccuracies
Quality, Compliance & Communication
· Ensure all SOPs related to material and ingredient storage are followed at all times
· Report observed material defects or compliance concerns to:
o Quality team
o Production team
o Vendors (as appropriate)
· Maintain proactive, ongoing communication across departments to prevent disruptions
· Maintain documentation required for food safety protocols
