Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures by collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and patients to ensure optimal use of operating rooms.
- Manage preoperative documentation, including verifying patient information, insurance authorizations, and surgical consents to comply with regulatory standards.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and clinical teams to provide timely updates, answer questions, and facilitate smooth surgical experiences.
- Monitor and track surgical case progress, addressing any scheduling conflicts or changes promptly to minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical schedules, patient data, and communication logs using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, medical terminology, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) or Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) is advantageous.
- Experience working in a hospital or surgical center environment with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and healthcare billing procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management software.
